Case Study - Shire of Augusta Margaret River (Vision 2036 Project)

The Challenge

A group's 'picture vision' from the initial visioning workshop

A group's 'picture vision' from the initial visioning workshop

Work with a diverse 30+ person Community Reference Group over multiple sessions to develop a comprehensive Vision and Strategic Roadmap for the region, as part of the Shire's Strategic Community Plan review process

Our Solution

We designed a series of six workshops, each aimed to continually build consensus and fill in the gaps on a 'working vision' that the had group developed early on. The structure of the sessions followed a rough strategic planning format (e.g. workshop one on 'big picture vision', workshop two on the 'strategic environment').

Strong emphasis was placed on fostering group cohesion, bringing in outside knowledge to build capacity, continually testing assumptions and always helping the group to steer towards the priorities and big focus areas.

The Results

Here's a video from the Shire that shows how proud we all are of the process.
